To date, we have served over 500 clients in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), so as you might guess, we’ve received a great number of questions over the years. Here are the answers to the most common questions we receive.

Q: Why use a Certified Contractor?
Asbestos and Mould Removal projects require specially trained staff to ensure that the problem is dealt with properly. For instance, asbestos is a designated substance and its removal must be carried out by certified professionals; some moulds are toxic and can be hazardous to you and your family’s health. They require proper identification and removal to prevent future infestations. Properly identifying and removing asbestos and toxic mould is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Certified Contractors are professional trained to deal with all types of restoration projects and indoor health hazards - including mould and asbestos – in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

Q: How can I be sure that a Contractor is certified?
Certified contractors have experience in dealing with a wide variety of hazardous and non-hazardous materials; thus, ensure that the contractor you are considering has experience with your situation and that they can provide references and proof of certification. As well, reputable mould contractors – the ones recognized by the Insurance Industry - are registered and/or certified by the IICRC , the gold standard in professional restoration. Asbestos contractors in Ontario must successfully complete the Asbestos Abatement Worker Training Program approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, as per Ontario Regulation 278/05. Make sure that the contractor you’re dealing with is certified. Lastly, confirm that they carry adequate general liability insurance, environmental pollution insurance and WSIB coverage.
Note: Ensure the contractor you select uses a third party independent environmental consultant to avoid any conflict of interest.

Q: Who are your customers?
We provide certified asbestos, vermiculite and mould removal services for a wide variety of residential, commercial, institutional and Industrial clients.

Q: What is your service area?

Q: What if my issue occurs in the middle of the night?
Emergencies don’t sleep and when they happen, neither do we. We’re available 24/7/365. You can count on us to be there to provide immediate assistance – usually within hours – following your call.

Q. Can I Remove Mould Myself?
Although do-it-yourself mould removal kits are available, they are generally cheap and while promising to make the job quick and easy, they do not provide any way of knowing whether the mould in your home or business is toxic or non-toxic. They may claim to be a one size fits all remedy for all kinds of mould, but they can’t guarantee to be equally effective when it comes to the most dangerous and toxic types of mould.

Q: What are the risks of asbestos exposure?
If materials containing asbestos becomes damaged, asbestos fibers may become airborne and inhaled into the lungs, resulting in severe health problems, especially among children, the elderly and those with respiratory problems.

Q: Can I detect asbestos on my own?
The only way to visually confirm the presence of asbestos is if materials that contain it are labeled as such; otherwise, you can’t be sure. This is where asbestos abatement specialists add value.
Note: We use third party independent environmental consultants to avoid any conflict of interest.

Q: How much will an assessment cost?
